The CHIRON Group, based in Tuttlingen, is a specialist for CNC-controlled, vertical milling and turning machining centres. With its production and development sites, business and service establishments and commercial agencies the group is present all over the world. With almost 2000 employees, the organisation achieves a turnover of circa 460 million Euros. Around two thirds of the machines and solutions sold are exported. Essential customer industries include the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, medical and precision technology as well as aerospace and space flight. The CHIRON Group consists of three machine tool brands; CHIRON, STAMA, SCHERER as well as CMS for retrofitting. CHIRON represents dynamics and precision, STAMA's focus is on robust milling machines and heavy machining while SCHERER makes multi-functional vertical pick-up turning machining centres.
