The foundation stone for our medium-sized family company was laid down by our two founding company directors Manfred and Thomas Eckardt. In 2002, we celebrated our company's anniversary; 25 years of standing for reliability, good service, continuity and growth. In mid 2001, our Company Director Manfred Eckardt died. Shortly afterwards his son Thomas Eckardt unexpectedly also died, upon which our management changed in mid 2002. Mrs. Beate Eckardt was the new Managing Director of the company from then on (March 2002 until May 2005). Since 1st June 2005, Mr. Axel Eckardt has been the Managing Director of the company. Eckardt & Sohn GmbH and will continue to run the company as before. Eckardt & Sohn operates locally as well as globally. The broad range of our services and our many years of experience mean we can satisfy any customer's specific requests.

The business was founded in 1961 as a family-run company and quickly became one of the first ports of call for the development, production and distribution of lubrication products. The range of products today includes equipment for minimum quantity lubrication (in many application areas, away from conventional circulation lubrication with emulsions), manually and electrically controlled drip oilers, special designs, gear pumps, piston pumps, central lubrication systems, oil containers, pressure containers V2A–V4A, level controllers, lubricators with various drive systems, lubrication nipples, oil gauges and oil level indicators. UNIOELER is therefore able to develop and offer suitable solutions for a wide variety of applications. These solutions are aligned to the requirements of the user, yet also take into account environmental considerations and legal requirements.

Special products include plain bearings made from highly pure nickel with dry lubricant for the chemical industry, which are intended for use in aggressive media and radioactive conditions, and high temperature plain bearings that can be used at temperatures of up to 850 °C under certain operating conditions.
